nubank card machine – How does it work?

The Nubank card machine, which from now on we will just call NuTap, works in a very practical way. To use it, simply access your Nubank legal entity account on your cell phone. This way, your device turns into a great billing tool. In short, with a few taps you can receive contactless payments, whether by debit or credit.

Furthermore, the technology responsible for this innovation allows data to be exchanged without the need for a wired connection. Therefore, it is enough that both devices are compatible with this technology and are close to each other. Sharing happens instantly. In other words, without you needing any tool other than your own cell phone.

Finally, for payment to be made, place the customer's card near the back of your device and wait for approval. Ready. The technology itself is responsible for carrying out the billing. One detail is that this same instruction applies to payments made with digital wallets, for example, on smartwatches and cell phones.

Is NuTap compatible with any cell phone?

Initially, only customers who have a Nubank business account have this feature. Furthermore, the company must have only one partner. Another requirement is to have an Android cell phone, for now only they operate the NuTap. Furthermore, it is also essential that your phone has NFC technology. Therefore, once enabled, it allows contactless payments.

To check if your cell phone has this technology, just follow a simple step by step. First, open your phone's settings screen, then select the “Connections” option and look for the NFC option. After that, just leave this option in activated mode. Now Nubank carries out an analysis of the account and cell phone to check if they are suitable.

Finally, if everything is ok, you are now one step away from carrying out your transactions. However, before that, you need to enter the Nubank PJ application and request approval for this function. So, if everything is compatible, your machine is already in your hand, ready to use.

How to make charges

Making charges using this tool is super simple. So, you just need to have your application screen open to start using it. When looking at your home screen, you will find the button “Charge with NuTap”. Just click and start the following step by step:

  • After selecting the “Charge with NuTap” option, choose the payment amount you will receive. At this time, only invoice charges are accepted.
  • R$ 2.00 to R$ 199.99;
  • Define the payment method, debit, credit, both in cash and in installments. If paying in installments, the minimum value of each installment must be R$ 5.00;
  • Now just ask your customer to hold the card close to the back of their cell phone. Remembering, as we said above, that they can also be paid through a digital wallet. All the customer needs to do is position the device in the same way;
  • After the charge has been made, you have the option of sending a receipt via their cell phone.

Nubank card machine – is it safe?

As it is an innovative product, not yet explored on the market, some people may have doubts as to whether it really is reliable. However, Nubank guarantees that it is a completely safe tool. Furthermore, NuTap has a seal of reliability, just like the other products of this digital bank. In short, you can use as much as you want if you're afraid.

Data relating to customer cards, as well as payments made, are encrypted. Therefore, the information is confidential and protected. As always the Nubank seeking to help people enjoy a banking institution free from bureaucracy and complications.
